The Project includes the following Work:
- Part A- Replacement of Spray Irrigation Infrastructure
- Replacement of lagoon liner, dredging, and sludge removal
- Replacement of turbine pump
- Replacement of inlet screen
- Replacement and repainting of hand rails on outlet weir
- Installation of chlorination system
- Installation of cast in place building
- Replacement of piping and fixtures of spray irrigation distribution system
- Configuration of communication system
- Part B – Installation of drip irrigation system
- Installation of piping and filter headworks of spray irrigation system
- Installation of distribution piping and wiring of automated valve
- Configuration of communication system
- Part c- Electrical including but not limited to:
- Permeant back-up generator
- Wiring of PLCs for two stand-alone systems, spray and drip irrigation
- Potential wiring of main PLC panels for unified automated system
- Part D -Alternatives if permitted
Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on September 17th, 2026 at 2pm at the County Manager’s Office, Gatesville, North Carolina. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received by Gates County at the County Manger’s Office located at 115 Court Street, Gatesville, North Carolina, until 30th of September 2026 at 2:00pm local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office upon receipt of a non-refundable payment of $150.00 for each set. Make checks for Bidding Documents payable to Green Engineering, P.L.L.C.
