General Notice

The City of Rocky Mount (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Old Mill Road Sewer Pump Station Force Main

CRM Project Number: 320-140726FD

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received by the City of Rocky Mount, Purchasing Office (hereinafter call the “City”) in the First Floor Atrium at the Frederick E. Turnage Administrative Services Complex,  located at 331 South Franklin Street, Rocky Mount, North Carolina 27804, by mail at Attn: Fantashia Dickens, City of Rocky Mount, PO Box 1180, Rocky Mount, NC 27802, or by delivery at Attn: Fantashia Dickens, City of Rocky Mount, 331 S Franklin St., Rocky Mount, NC 27804 until Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work:

• Pump Station Force Main including but not limited to:
• 2,800 LF 14-inch PVC C900 (DR-21) Force Main
• 100 LF 14-inch Ductile Iron Force Main
• 210 LF 14-inch Restrained Joint Ductile Iron Force Main
• 1,005 Horz. Feet 14-inch ID Directional Bore (Rock)
• 70 LF 30-inch Diameter Steel Casing (Bored and Jacked)
• 4 EA Sewer Air Release Valves
• 150 CY Rock Excavation (Contingency Item)
• Erosion Control Measures

The Project has an expected duration of 150 days.

Pre-bid Conference

A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM at City of Rocky Mount, City Hall, 331 S Franklin St., Rocky Mount, NC 27804. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received by the City of Rocky Mount, Purchasing Office (hereinafter call the “City”) in the First Floor Atrium at the Frederick E. Obtaining the Bidding Documents

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office upon receipt of a non-refundable payment of $100.00 for each set.  Make checks for Bidding Documents payable to Green Engineering, P.L.L.C.
